Council strategy - Citywide

The Citywide Spatial Framework sets out the key medium and long-term outcomes that the council wants to achieve, from a city planning point of view, for the Auckland isthmus as a whole.

These outcomes are shown in six maps which align to the council's six high-level strategies for Auckland:

The key outcomes are shown in a summary concept map, providing an overview of how the city should develop in the future.

Each map highlights aspects relevant to one of the above strategies and sets out the key moves (or outcomes) that the council wants to achieve with respect to them, between now and 2050. Each of the maps is also supported by explanations. Together, the maps and text make up the Citywide Spatial Framework.
